Interesting Question: Here's a breakdown of # of Games for various levels of play: From T-Ball , to Rec: to Rec Select, to High School, to American Legion, to College to Summer & Fall Leagues. And contrary to the many clubhouse lawyers, hidden agenda of admins wannabees, the all Dad teams, & jeoulous & angry communities, amateur baseball is available to all levels of play and at all ages. T-Ball: 5 games Coach Pitch: 7-10 games 10U Rec Teams: 11-12 games season 10U (plus 1 or 2 preseason) ( add 1/2/3 playoffs games) 12U Rec Select: From above (17) & add Sun for a total of about 30. (And since nothing really counts until you get to the 'big' field, this may be a surprise to you, but it's real and available for the serious and committed player thinking about improving his level of play) The more serious players: < 14U: (7) Spring: 5-7 pre season (35) League: 5 games per week for about 8 weeks (16) Tourneys: Pre Season/Mem/4th (16) Playoffs: City/State/Reg/WS (10) Aug: 10 games (25) Fall: 20-25 games Goal: 110 games per year over 8 months weather is non-coop in Dec Jan Feb Mar > 15-18 HS & American Legion (or other) Start March 1 (5) Spring: 3-5 pre season (16) HS League: 2 games per week for about 8 weeks (3) HS Tourneys: One (3) HS Playoffs: County/Reg/States (35) Summer League: 5 games per week for about 7 weeks (10) Summer Tourney's Qty 2 (8-10 games) (10) Playoffs & Nat Tourney 10 games (25) Fall: 20-25 games Goal: 110 games per year over 9 months weather is non-coop in Dec Jan Feb > 18-21 College Kids Start Feb 10 (5) Spring: 3-5 pre season (56) College League: 6 games per week for about 9 weeks (3-5) College Tourneys: (35) Summer League: 5 games per week for about 7 weeks (10) Playoffs & Nat Tourney 10 games Fall: Studies Sept thu Jan usually no fall games for D1 programs (only D2 & D3) Goal: 110 games per year over 7 months weather is non-coop in Dec Jan
