Pitching - Change Up

I agree with most of everything said.... especially that smaller hands have a difficult time with the circle change.

the only thing I would like to add is .... You want the hitter to HIT your change up! Most of the time he will be way out in front and off balance and you will get a weak ground ball.

Now as far as not throwing one to a weak hitter?? If the fastball will do the job of getting the hitter out... why change success, but don't make it a "Cardinal Rule". Never become predictable when pitching.

I like a three finger grip. Hold the ball like a two-seam fast ball, turn it slightly so that no finger is on a seam (seams are between each pair of fingers) and hold it deeper (towards the palm) in your hand. In my experience this pitch will act like a sinker and "drop" at the end. Youth pitchers pick it up rather quickly especially compared to the circle or OK change..
