Need Help on Offense

By: Thomas

My 6th grade basketball team is strong all around although help is needed in our offense. When we attemp to run a play it will occasionally break down, and this is where we get stuck. We try to run an offense were we either (a) pass, pick, roll (b) pass, cut to the basket or (c) pass, screen away from the ball. This usually doesn't work, as we end up running around in circles and soon turn the ball over. This is losing us games.

Here is some of my team's key players:

Greg is a power forward with great size, a strong inside layup and even a good jump shot.

Andy is a player that can plays every position. He is medium sized and has a great jumpshot. He is probably our strongest all around player.

Jon is a shooting gaurd who plays aggresive defense and has a pretty consistant fade-away from about the top of the key. He is the only lefty on our team.

Tony is one of our three point gaurds. He can dribble and shoot well, he just panics when the play breaks down. Probably our best point gaurd.

Eric is another one of our point gaurds. He can run the plays well, but his downsides are that he is small and makes bad decisions with the plays.

Seth probably runs our plays the best, and he is probably our smartest point gaurd. Also has a nice shot.

Jack is a bigger, more aggresive player. At power forward, he can rebound and is consistent about making layups under the basket. He can also drive to the hoop well. If he had a jump shot and could go left, he would be unstoppable.

My team is strongest at the forward position, and could use some help at the point. Most of our players have a good-looking shot, can dribble well, but can only go right. Do you have any suggestions to strengthen our offense? Thanks.
