Overload questions

You shouldn't set up your offense without considering the abilities of your kids. If you have 2 good post players you can run a 1-4 motion offense with the two post players rotating around the lane (foul line to low block, straight cuts and diagonal cuts) and look for high low action.

If you have only one good post player, have him post high and run a 2-1-2 to attack the elbow gaps of the typical 2-3 zone (have the post player cut to the bottom of the free throw circle after the pass to the wing).

If you have no post players, your best bet is to try to beat the zone down the floor. I use end-to-end man-to-man coverage, which generates a lot of turnovers at this age group. If your kids can hit a lay-up on the run, you have instant offense. To make this work, you also have to get the ball out of the basket quickly after the opponents made baskets. Since you don't have great ball handlers, you need to set up a passing fast break and teach the kids to get to their spots quickly and consistantly.
